Robots.txt Installation

A website's robots.txt file tells spiders where they may and may not go on a website. One big area that robots.txt files can be especially helpful is in keeping search engine crawlers out of your shopping cart. The reason for this is that sometimes the crawlers will try to index hundreds of items in the shopping cart. Competitive Analysis

We will take your top 10 keywords that we found in your keyword research and perform a full competitive analysis for each one. In this exercise we will take each one of your 10 keywords and list the top 10 sites that show up in the Google search engine. We will then perform a full on-site and off-site analysis for each of your competitor's sites and using metrics such as domain age and number of backlinks we will give them a rating out of ten. With this information you will know where the untapped opportunities are in your market for you to take over in no time at all.

Search Engine Submissions

Submitting your site to all the top search engines used to be enough to get your site ranked very highly. However, due to the constant algorithm updates of most search engines this strategy is not as effective as it once was. However, submitting your site to as many search engines as you can still create good strong backlinks. And our tests have shown that it is still effective. This is why we will submit your site to different search engines every month including Google, Yahoo, Lycos, HotBot, Ask, AOL, Netscape, Bing (MSN) and Excite to name just a few.

We will be making amendments to various on page elements to ensure that pages are fully optimised for target keywords. We may change keywords as a result of traffic analysis or create new pages to target new keywords.

There are hundreds of good social bookmarking websites out there but the trick is submitting your web pages to the right ones and not too often. Directory Submissions

Before Google wised up and starting getting clever, this is pretty much all you had to do to get your website on page 1 of the organic search listings. They will charge you hundreds of pounds for a few directory submissions and then disappear when the results that were promised do not materialise. Although nowhere near as effective as they used to be, when done slowly over time, Google still notices them and they will form a good foundation for your link strategy. The key point with directory submissions (and most other forms of Internet marketing) is to make it look as natural as possible. If you suddenly have 100 directory listings for your website in 2 days then Google will notice this and think that you are trying to game the system. Therefore, the balance has to be right so you can be aggressive with your marketing, but at the same time not leave any footprints for Google to notice.
